Barcelona will become capital of 4.0 industry next autumn

The Barcelona Industry Week will hold five lounges simultaneously from October 1 to 6.

Between October 1st and 6th, the Gran Via exhibition center will be the setting for the Barcelona Industry Week, an event that will bring together all these lounges: Expoquimia (chemical sector), Eurosurfas (surfaces treatment), Equiplast (plastic and rubber), In(3D)ustry From Needs to Solutions (additive and advanced manufacturing) and IOT Solutions World Congress (Internet of Things).

These events will attract a thousand companies, around 850 international speakers and more than 50.000 professionals to show the most transversal and innovative offer of the entire production chain from the first material -plastic and chemical- through mass or customized production, up to the automation of processes using the latest technologies.

This year Barcelona Activa will be participating again in two of these eventsThere will be a stand -shared with the city council- at the IOT Solutions World Congress that will accommodate about twenty companies. And in In(3D)ustry there will be a stand of its own with two areas: one for the Technological Park and another one for the Network of Ateneus de Fabricació and Makerspace, the municipal space to support the prototyping.

The second edition of In(3D)ustry From Needs Tone Solutions changes its dates from the first edition and will take place on the 3rd and 5th of October. After the success of the first call, with more than 40 exhibitors and 102 lecturers, the event will have an extensive representative sample of the ecosystem of the additive and advanced manufacturing with the participation of the main manufacturers of this type of machinery, as well as companies in several industrial sectors.

The IOT Solutions World Congress will also take place from 3rd to 5th October, an event that, with only two editions, has already become a reference of the sector with more than 200 exhibitors and 200 international speakers, including Nadim Tawileh (Google), John Ellis (Ford) or Carlos Garcia-Galán (NASA). The conference is expected to bring together global experts from the industrial Internet, as well as companies that are setting the stage in the development of IOT worldwide.
