The German company, which expects to create 500 new jobs, has also signed a collaboration agreement with the Mobile World Capital.

Barcelona-based T- Systems, a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, has announced that it will locate one of its four international hubs in Barcelona. From here, it will give support services to more than 300,000 customers in 23 European and African countries.

According to management at the multinational, the decision is down to the "the attractiveness of the city and the quality and competitiveness of its labour market". The move will involve an investment of 2.5 million € in a new facility located in Parc d'Alba and the creation of 500 jobs.

T-Systems has also signed a partnership agreement with Mobile World Capital Barcelona, whereby its consultants will develop mobile applications in the fields of education, smart cities, healthcare and tourism.
