Nissan hires 600 workers for factory in Free Trade Zone

The company wants to increase production of the e-NV200 electric van and the compact Pulsar model, which are manufactured in Barcelona.

Nissan has announced it will hire 686 temporary workers for its factory in the Zona Franca free trade zone to beef up production of the e-NV200 electric van and the compact Pulsar model.

The new hires will mean the company can increase current production levels by 2,000 units, with workers on two new shifts, one at night and one weekend shift.

Last May, the company reached an agreement with the City Council to promote the use of this electric van with zero-emissions for commercial vehicles at Mercabarna, and as electric taxis.
