New BCN Design Week to feature more than 70 activities

The event, aimed at professionals and companies connected to the design and creativity sectors, includes the conference 'Leading Businesses Towards 2050'. The aim is to promote knowledge sharing, business opportunities and the Barcelona brand.

From the 11th to the 21st of June, Barcelona will host the eighth edition of BCN Design Week, an international event organized by BCD Barcelona Centre de Disseny with the collaboration of Barcelona City Council for professionals, companies and organizations whose drivers are knowledge and creativity.

The event encompasses more than 70 activities designed to enhance knowledge sharing, business opportunities and promote the Barcelona brand around the world. A new aspect to this year's edition is that the main activities will be held at Disseny Hub Barcelona.

The programme features the conference "Leading Businesses Towards 2050", where internationally renowned experts will present different views about the future of design in areas like healthcare, habitat and consumption.

On the other hand, BCN Design Week again boasts an invited guest country with a full activity programme. This year it is the Netherlands' turn. Various activities are being organised to raise awareness of the current state of the design industry in this country, and to share knowledge and create business opportunities between local and Dutch companies and professionals.
