HP launches cloud centre in Barcelona

The multinational computer company is investing 26 million € in new facilities and creating 2,000 new jobs.

HP has launched a new cloud services centre in Barcelona. This facility is the first of its kind to open in Spain and only the company's fifteenth worldwide.

The multinational has so far invested 8.1 million € on purpose-built facilities , although the final investment figure is expected to reach 26 million over the next two years Up to now the new centre has created 400 new jobs, but this is expected to rise when fully operational, employing 2,000 people .

From this new site the company will offer cloud services to mainly local businesses , although it'll also work in network with similar centres in Southern Europe
