Cooltra exports electric motorcycles to Rome and Sao Paulo

The company grew 35% in 2013, and this year hopes to exceed 4 million in sales.

The company, which hires out electric motorcycles manufactured in Germany, has opened an office in Rome this year and has signed an agreement with a Brazilian importer of motorcycles to launch in this market.

Cooltra, founded in 2006 in Barcelona, closed 2013 with a turnover of three € million, a 35% increase on the previous year. This year, the company has received CaixaBank and Banco Sabadell loans worth 600,000 euros, and expects to exceed 4 € million in sales, increasing its staff count by 20 new employees.

Barcelona City Council and businesses Unipost, MRW, Aravinc and Just Eat already use eCooltra motorcycles services. Soon municipal company B:SM will also contract in the service, as they plans to change their two-wheeled vehicle fleet at the Parks and Gardens department and other maintenance services, following an agreement reached by the two companies.
